If you're visiting Montmartre for the first time, I recommend stopping at Abbesses station. If you take M2, you can either stop at Blanche station which will put you next to Moulin Rouge, Place de Clichy, or Anvers Station. Regardless of the metro stop you take, you'll be just a few minutes' walk from the popular attractions of Montmartre.
